
The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has published its 2025 air transport report, showing that passenger traffic across Saudi Arabia’s airports reached 140.9 million—an increase of 9.6% compared to 2024.
International travel accounted for 75.8 million passengers, up 9.4%, while domestic travel reached 65.1 million passengers, reflecting a 9.8% annual rise.

Among airports, King Abdulaziz International Airport handled the highest volume with 53.5 million passengers, followed by King Khalid International Airport with 40.8 million, and King Fahd International Airport with 13.7 million.
On average, daily passenger traffic stood at 178,600 for domestic flights and 207,700 for international flights.
The total number of flights across the Kingdom reached 979,800 in 2025, marking an 8.3% increase year-on-year. Domestic flights accounted for 506,300 (+6.8%), while international flights totaled 473,500 (+9.9%).

At the airport level, King Abdulaziz International Airport recorded the highest number of flights (314,400), followed by King Khalid International Airport (296,800) and King Fahd International Airport (108,500). Daily averages reached 1,387 domestic flights and 1,297 international flights.
In terms of connectivity, Saudi Arabia expanded its global reach, with international links covering 66 countries (+1.5%) and 176 destinations (+2.3%).
Among airlines, Saudia led the market with a 25.5% share, followed by flynas (13.3%) and Flyadeal (8.6%).
Globally, the Kingdom ranked 18th in the 2025 air connectivity index, slightly down from 17th in 2024.

Finally, the report is based on administrative data collected from both public and private sector entities, and undergoes rigorous statistical validation to ensure accuracy and reliability before publication.
