2nd Saudi Founding Day: Occasion to remember solid roots

Words embrace each other to describe the pride, glory and belonging within every Saudi citizen, so I would like to extend a blessed greeting to the father of all, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness, the visionary leader, Prince Mohammed bin Salman; The Crown Prince and the Prime Minister and the honorable Saudi people, wishing God Almighty to perpetuate security, safety, and peace in our blessed country.

February 22 coincides with the day of glory, struggle, and originality for the establishment of a generous and benevolent state, the first Saudi state, with Imam Muhammad bin Saud assuming the rule of Diriyah, the first capital of the state, and he began the path of prosperity and raising the slogan of unity, in the middle of the year 1139 AH – 1727.

The period of the rule of Imam Muhammad bin Saud witnessed the achievement of stability and political independence and made Diriyah a center of attraction in all fields.

During the first 93 years of success and prosperity, many scholars came to it to receive an education.

This memory reinforces the values of belonging among the Saudi people. It highlights the historical and cultural depth of the Kingdom. In addition, it acquaints the current generations with the roots of their ancestral history and the tremendous renaissance that the Kingdom has achieved throughout this period.

On this date, the homeland and its people unite as one, spreading glory and pride from the day of its founding to the present day. With love and belonging, we share the joy of our beloved nation. Therefore, you will find everyone racing to offer offers, discounts, and other things to express and share their joy.

Our kings continued to follow the path of King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who put the country in the custody of a global renaissance.

During the era of King Salman, Saudi Arabia achieved tremendous milestones. It demonstrated this through the leadership of the G20 in 2020, and its effectiveness in combating the Corona pandemic.

Saudi Arabia was distinguished in handling the pandemic.
