Yemeni Defense Minister: “Yemen will not turn into a Persian colony.”
The Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Maqdashi, praised the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy and their fraternal stance in the joint Arab defence battle against the Iranian threat.
The comment was made during his inspection visit to the front lines of the fighting against the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia. They are on the fronts of the Mas Belt and Al-Kasara in the north and northwest of the Ma’rib governorate, east of Yemen.
He explained that the Yemeni people, their armed forces, and their legitimate leadership are standing in the battle of fate and identity against Iranian terrorism and its Houthi militia.
“We will not accept the transformation of Sanaa and all of Yemen into a Persian colony or a transit yard to threaten Arab national security and vital global interests,” he said, according to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba).
