Yanbu Claims Two Int. Awards for Promoting Sustainable Practices
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) has received two prestigious international awards on an Asian scale at the ESG Business Awards 2024 in Singapore, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu won in two categories: Sustainable Infrastructure Award and Sustainable Water Management Award.
The Sustainable Infrastructure Award is an initiative that promotes the adoption and application of smart technologies, such as using BIM and VR modeling in designing and building infrastructure, and their contribution to reducing the consumption of energy and other resources.
Meanwhile, the Sustainable Water Management Award is an initiative related to the application of Hydraulic modeling in planning and designing water networks to ensure precise water distribution and optimal resource utilization. As a result, this helps in the future expansion of the water network without substantial upgrades to the infrastructure.
The selection of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu from a number of international organizations came after a thorough and methodical assessment by leading global sustainability corporations.
This international recognition of the RCJY is a result of its ongoing efforts to position itself as a regional and global model for sustainable and resilient development, in line with the ambitious objectives of the transformative Saudi Vision 2030.
The ESG Business Awards honor companies that outperform in building sustainable future. The awards program celebrates organizations that show outstanding commitment and achievement in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
