WHO URGES TO USE ASTRAZENECA VACCINE; 4 EU COUNTRIES HALT THE USE
The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged countries not to pause Covid vaccinations. This comes after Germany, France, Italy and Spain have joined smaller nations in halting vaccinations as a precaution while checks are made. WHO said that there is no evidence of a link between the vaccine and blood clots.
Experts from WHO are meeting on Tuesday to discuss the jab. In addition, European Medicines Agency (EMA) will meet on the same day and is due to draw conclusions on Thursday.
As per AstraZeneca, amid the cases and criticism, 17 million people in the EU and the UK have received the dose, with fewer than 40 cases of clots reported last week.
