We have contacted Iran, trying to find a path to dialogue: Saudi FM
During a session at the World Economic Forum (WEF), Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed on Tuesday that “focusing on development rather than geopolitical affairs is a strong signal to Iran and others that there are other paths to common prosperity.”
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that the kingdom has communicated with Iran and is looking for a way to engage in dialogue.
During his speech at a Davos Forum session attended by Gulf and European ministers, he added, “Dialogue is the most effective way to resolve differences in the region, and we are trying to find a path for dialogue with everyone and focus on development.”
In a related vein, Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that Riyadh has a “strong partnership with the US,” but this does not mean they always agree.
On the other hand, the Saudi Foreign Minister predicted that the Kingdom’s economy would grow at the fastest rate this year.
He continued on to say that Saudi Arabia is transitioning to clean energy, but that it will take decades, and that “the Kingdom is working to stabilize energy security.”
He emphasized that OPEC + was subject to market fluctuations and worked in favor of producers and consumers.
