Two Saudi relief planes arrive for the Afghan people
Last week, the fifth and sixth relief planes arrived within the Saudi relief air bridge to support the Afghan people. They were flown by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, carrying 65 tons and 746 kilograms of food and shelter.
It includes 1,674 food baskets and 192 shelter bags, bringing the total aid provided within the Saudi relief air bridge to the Afghan people 197 tons and 238 kilograms of food and shelter.
It was managed through 6 relief planes, comprising 5,022 food baskets and 576 shelter bags, in addition to the land convoy that the Center secured from Pakistani territory carrying 200 relief trucks weighing 1,920 tons, which will be distributed to the neediest families in Afghanistan. This aid comes in The Kingdom’s support framework for the brotherly Afghan people, and to meet their basic needs.
