Turki Al-Sheikh Crowns Tyson Fury during Riyadh Season
During the inauguration of the fourth edition of Riyadh Season, Minister and the current Chairman of General Authority for Entertainment Turki Al-Sheikh crowned heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Historic Clash: Fury vs. Ngannou
The audience witnessed a historic face-off between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury for the Riyadh Season belt. After ten intense rounds, Fury emerged victorious.
Riyadh Season 2023, themed “Big Time”, saw the presence of global football star Cristiano Ronaldo, Filipino boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao, boxer Lennox Lewis, and world heavyweight champion Larry Holmes.
It attracted people from all over the world to enjoy concerts, exhibitions and other recreational proceedings in which a number celebrities and brands participate.
At the outset of the event, Turki Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering support for the entertainment sector and the Riyadh Season.
“The fourth edition of the festival is special and it will achieve your dreams and aspirations,” added the minister.
The Unique Riyadh Season Belt
The belt, handed to Fury by Turki Al-Sheikh, is distinctively handcrafted, bearing the Riyadh Season 2023 logo and the green color of the Saudi flag.
Post-Fight Remarks
Ngannou vowed to return stronger and with more experience affirming that now he fully believes in his abilities.
On his part, Fury acknowledged Ngannou’s powers in the boxing arena.
