Trump Vows Unyielding US Military Presence Near Iran Until ‘Real Agreement’ Secured

US President Donald Trump announced late Wednesday that American forces will remain stationed near Iran until both nations reach a “real agreement.” This decision comes as Washington enters a fragile two-week ceasefire with Tehran to cool regional tensions.
The ceasefire reached on Tuesday already shows significant signs of unravelling, as Israel continues bombarding Lebanon, while Washington continues to contradict several Iranian demands to end the conflict before planned talks begin.
Despite these complications, the President used his Truth Social platform to clarify the military’s current posture.
“All US Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” Trump wrote.
Warnings of Potential Escalation
President Trump noted that a complete deal failure remains “highly unlikely.” However, he threatened to revert to “bigger, and better, and stronger” strikes if the two parties do not reach a final accord. Furthermore, the President highlighted the readiness of the armed forces during this diplomatic window. “In the meantime, our great Military is Loading Up and Resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest. AMERICA IS BACK!” Trump wrote.
Iran previously agreed to reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz during this two-week truce. Nevertheless, Tehran insisted it would maintain “dominion” over the waterway, which handles one-fifth of the world’s oil supply during peacetime.
In a Farsi-language release, Iranian state media also demanded that Washington accept its uranium enrichment program, as this specific requirement did not appear in the official demands Iran released via the United Nations earlier this week.
Looking Toward Pakistan Negotiations
President Trump countered these demands by stating that the US will “take care of” the enrichment matter in any final deal.
As negotiators prepare for upcoming talks in Pakistan, Trump maintains a firm stance on regional security and nuclear proliferation. He concluded his announcement by asserting that Iran will have “no nuclear weapons” and that the “Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE.”
