Al-Khateeb: We Have Strict Energy Policies for Environmental Sustainability
The Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, stated, “The Kingdom has clear and strict policies for rationalizing in order to preserve environmental sustainability.”

During his speech at the third edition of the Saudi Green Initiative within the COP28 conference, the Minister added, “Economic sustainability is as important as environmental sustainability,” as reported by Al-Ekhbariya channel.
Benefits from NEOM Project
The Minister of Tourism, continued, “The residents in the areas surrounding the NEOM project have benefited from it in terms of job provision, increased efficiency, development of facilities, and preparing a market for their products.”
Focus on Tourism, environmental sustainability
He further said: “In the field of tourism, we emphasize environmental sustainability through the optimal use of water, a clear policy on food consumption, energy and renewable energy consumption. Changes are also being made in tourist destinations and the nature of their operations to promote the sector.”

Minister Al-Khateeb emphasized the significant impact of the tourism sector on the labor market and the overall economy. He stated, “Activating the labor market and the economy benefits the regions where tourism is being developed.”
