The Saudi Cup: A Prestigious Race
The Saudi Cup is the world’s richest horse race, with a total prize money of $37.6 million. The race holds annually at the King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Horses aged four and older can run in the race, which covers a distance of 1,800 meters (about 1.1 miles) on a dirt track.

He is co-owned by breeder Joe Peacock Jr. With the victory worth $10 million, his career earnings rose to $12.8 million. Senor Buscador finished the race in 1:49.50, beating Japan’s Ushba Tesoro by two lengths. Ushba Tesoro came second, ahead of America’s Mystic Guide, Britain’s Mishriff, and Saudi Arabia’s Mubtasimah.
