Saudi Arabia is a destination for motorsports significant events: Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Al Faisal

Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Al-Faisal, President of the board of directors of the Saudi Federation for Cars and Motor Cycles, asserted that the Kingdom’s hosting of the World Touring Cars Cup series constitutes a solid addition to its growing portfolio in hosting the most significant sporting events in general, especially motorsports and motorsports.

His Highness said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the World Touring Car Cup “WTCR”, which was organized by the International Automobile Federation, in cooperation with the Saudi Motorsports Company. The competitions were hosted by the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, from 25 to 27 November.

Due to its integrated infrastructure, human resources, and capabilities, the Kingdom is able to host the most significant sporting events, especially in Motorsports, such as Formula 1, Dakar Rally, Formula E, and Extreme E, making it a world-class platform for motorsports.

“Today we are witnessing the addition of the World Touring Cars Cup to the Kingdom’s growing portfolio in hosting the largest international events in motorsports, with the follow-up and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, who works ably to transfer and support the sports sector in general, and what we are witnessing from the participation of the Saudi national team.” His Highness added.

About the sport of motors and cars, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal revealed that there are strategic plans that will be announced, God willing, that include building facilities and academies. It is working to attract a younger generation of Saudi youth, starting at the age of 5. The program will enable them to prepare and train from a young age to be heroes representing the country in international forums.
