Saudi Shura Council demands the establishment of women’s sports clubs
The Saudi Consultative Assembly, also known as Shura Council called on recently the General Authority for Sports to study the best mechanisms for establishing, organizing and supporting women’s clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The call came within a session held on Tuesday headed by the President of the Council, Abdullah Al Sheikh.
The council also called for accelerating the allocation of sports clubs and preparing executive plans with accurate performance indicators, according to what was published on its official account on Twitter.
The Council also requested, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to design initiatives that aim to educate people with disabilities and their families about the importance of appropriate sport and their active social participation.
