Thailand exempts Saudis from entry visas for a 30-day stay
The Saudi Embassy in Thailand announced that the Thai government agreed to enter Saudi citizens without a visa for 30 days free of charge.
The embassy revealed in a tweet via its Twitter account that the date for the start of implementing the decision will be soon.
Earlier, a Thai government spokesman said that about 200,000 Saudi tourists are expected to visit Thailand this year
Direct flights and mutual tourism promotion will also be resumed
According to the newspaper “Bangkok Post,” “Saudi tourists have a high potential and are a target group in light of the medical center’s and medical tourism’s policies.”
The restoration of Thai-Saudi relations follows Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-visit cha’s to Saudi Arabia late last month, according to a Thai government spokesman.
