Jeddah Season 2024 featured “Imagine Monet” exhibition that began on Friday June 28 and will run until Sunday July 28 at the Jeddah Corniche, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The exhibition will be the largest interactive exhibition of its kind in the country, showcasing over 200 well-known masterpieces by Claude Monet during his lifetime.
Monet was born in Paris and raised in France’s coastal province of Normandy.
He is the father and founder of impressionism, a revolutionary artistic movement that began in the late 1800s that emphasized painting en plein air (painting outside).
He adopted the use of copious color to portray an artistic scene and embody raw emotions.
The paintings are enhanced through modern technology with 360-degree projections on walls and floor.
The projections will give visitors the feeling that they are walking among the brushstrokes of pieces like Water Lilies.
Moreover, the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the journey of the French artist and his most celebrated artworks.
Visitors can see paintings like Poppies, Impression: Sunrise, and Monet’s Water Lilies series.
Furthermore, the exhibition features a discovery room designed to introduce detailed background about the artworks with a comprehensive 360-degree view and an outstanding audio-visual experience.
Visitors can enter the exhibition from 5 p.m. on weekdays, and the doors open at 4 p.m. at the weekend, at the entrance of the Jeddah Yacht Club.
