Saudia, STA Launch ‘Welcome to Arabia’ Aircraft Livery to Boost Tourism

Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has launched a special “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” livery designed to showcase Saudi hospitality to international travelers.

In collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), the vibrant livery is part of a strategic campaign to promote Saudi Arabia as a global tourism destination and highlight the Kingdom’s warm hospitality, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

‘Welcome to Arabia’

Under the initiative, a specially-liveried Boeing 787-9 aircraft will carry welcoming messages across Saudia’s international routes, highlighting the Kingdom’s booming tourism sector and its year-round appeal to global travelers.

Moreover, Saudia will utilize its in-flight entertainment systems to showcase the Kingdom’s tourism destinations, events and Vision 2030 projects through the carrier’s global network serving more than 100 destinations across four continents, according to a press release.

Adorned with the “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” logo, the specially-liveried aircraft will serve as a flying billboard for promoting Saudi Arabia’s unparalleled tourism offerings, inviting the world to explore the wonders of the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the aircraft‘s visual identity, designed by the STA, aims to enhance Saudi Arabia’s global profile and capture international attention. It highlights the Kingdom’s diverse destinations, awe-inspiring attractions, and authentic hospitality, enhancing national efforts aimed at boosting global awareness of Saudi Arabia’s transformation.

Saudia-STA Collaboration

On this occasion, the Director General of Saudia Group, Ibrahim Al-Omar, hailed the partnership with the STA. “The continued growth in visitor numbers reflects the success of our joint efforts to position Saudi Arabia as a leading global tourism destination,” he said.

“This progress is supported by sustained investment in aviation infrastructure, enhanced connectivity, and the creation of meaningful travel experiences that reflect the Kingdom’s rich identity and meet the highest international standards,” he added.

Meanwhile, the STA CEO, Fahd Hamidaddin, invited travelers to join the captivating experience. “We invite travelers to experience flying onboard this aircraft, capture memorable photos, and share them across social media platforms, becoming part of the Spirit of Saudi Arabia story and helping share Saudi welcoming messages with the world,” he said.

Saudia and the STA have combined their expertise to drive a wide-reaching strategy that bolsters air connectivity and scales flight capacity to meet rising demand.

By co-hosting high-profile global initiatives like TOURISE 2025, the two entities further cement Saudi Arabia’s status as a premier tourism destination on the global tourism map.
