Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United States, affirmed that human capital represents Vision 2030’s greatest achievement, emphasizing that no modern economy can thrive without empowering youth and creating an attractive environment for their talents and creativity.
Humans as Important as Financial Capital
During a virtual dialogue session at the “Saudi House” during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Princess Reema explained that Saudi Arabia’s experience over recent years has proven that focusing on people is no less important than injecting capital into major projects.
She pointed out that Vision 2030 has successfully built a broad base of qualified national competencies, not limited to graduates educated abroad, but including current and future employees capable of competing in the world’s major centers such as London, New York, and San Francisco.
She stated: “The choice of these competencies to return to the Kingdom to work and achieve reflects the success of the Vision. Human capital has become today one of the most prominent symbols of national transformation and a crucial factor in enhancing the competitiveness of the Saudi economy in the long term.”
