Saudi Women’s participation rate in the labor market reached 37% in 2022
The Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, confirmed that the rate of women’s participation in the labor market during the year 2022 amounted to 37% in KSA.
Al-Rajhi delivered his opening speech on the occasion of the launch of the 12th Social Dialogue Forum
Al-Rajhi added that the Ministry was keen to harmonize with all its partners in the labor market and consider them an imperative element of success and empowerment.
He indicated that the forum aimed to enhance social dialogue between the three production parties.
Investing Opportunities
According to him, the importance of the forum lies in investing in opportunities, addressing challenges, and providing a distinguished working environment that will boost an attractive labor market.
Al-Rajhi indicated that about 2.2 million Saudis are working in the private sector, which is the highest in history.
In his speech, he stated that more than 550,000 male and female citizens were employed.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi minister explained that these measures were taken in conjunction with the establishment’s adherence to work decisions and regulations by 98%.
The establishments were also committed to protecting wages by 80%, documenting 3.8 million labor contracts, and increasing the rate of amicable settlement of labor disputes by 74%.
