Saudi Swimmer Zaid Al-Sarraj, born in 20 November 2007, represented Saudi Arabia at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 100 metre freestyle. Al- Sarraj participated in the Paris 2024 Olympics for the first time, after appearing in the 33rd edition, held in France.
He secured his first place in the 100-meter freestyle heats, clocking a time of 51.21 seconds, topping the third heat and setting a personal best.
Although Al-Sarraj achieved this result, he is not among the top 16 competitors out of 79 participants in the qualifiers, ending his journey in the Paris Olympics.
Moreover, the Saudi Minister of Sports, Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal said via his account on the “X” “ A distinguished first appearance by our Olympic swimmer Zaid Al-Sarraj, at the age of 16 years. The future is ahead of you, champion”

Additionally, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Princess Reema expressed her pride in Zaid Al-Sarraj following his first appearance in the Olympics.
