The Supreme Hajj Committee has won the 2025 Makkah Excellence Award for administrative excellence, in recognition of what organizers described as a model of strong institutional governance and organizational efficiency.
The committee, chaired by Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, was honored during the award’s 17th edition for its oversight of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region, presented the award to Assistant Interior Minister Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Faleh at a ceremony marking the occasion.
Organizers cited the committee’s implementation of a high-governance framework aimed at ensuring the safety and smooth movement of millions of pilgrims.
The Makkah Excellence Award seeks to foster innovation and sustainability among regional institutions, spotlighting best practices that support the Kingdom’s broader development objectives.
The recognition comes as the committee continues to roll out digital and logistical initiatives designed to enhance the Hajj and Umrah experience.
