Saudi Space Authority Releases Q4 2023 GameMode Report
The Saudi Communication and Space Authority has released its Q4 2023 report for the “GameMode” initiative. The report compares the performance quality of communication service providers in the Kingdom for leading electronic games, revealing a 39% improvement compared to Q4 2022.
Speed Performance Results Across Gaming Platforms
The GameMode initiative report includes performance results for game download speeds across gaming platforms in the Kingdom. It highlights Mobily, STC, and Salam topping the list of operators in download speed for electronic games via STEAM platform at 100%. Mobily and Salam jointly lead PlayStation platform at 100%, while Mobily leads Xbox platform at 100%.
Top Service Providers in Response Time
STC and Mobily lead the list of service providers for the best response time in eight games, including Call of Duty, EA Sports FC, and Apex Legends. Meanwhile, STC dominates in games like Fortnite, Counter Strike, and Dota2, while Mobily leads in PUBG and Halo Infinite.
Improving Internet Connectivity for Gaming
The report provides guidance on enhancing internet connectivity quality for electronic gaming, ensuring home network safety, and optimizing network devices. It also outlines ways for users to contribute to the GameMode initiative and achieve its goals by registering for the “Fixed Internet Gauge” device.
Enhancing Market Competitiveness
GameMode initiative aims to boost competitiveness among communication service providers to deliver the best gaming experience, increase market transparency through data and indicator dissemination, and enable investors and stakeholders to access market performance indicators in the Kingdom.
