Saudi Ministry of Transport determines steps to object to road defects

Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics has clarified the ideal mechanism for dealing in the event of a vehicle being damaged due to road defects.

It identified 5 steps to object to road defects if the car or vehicle was damaged as a result of it, to preserve the rights of road users.

Objection steps

 The vehicle must be parked in a safe location close to the site of the damage, with the importance of ensuring that traffic is not obstructed.

After that, contact the Road Security or the General Traffic Department, according to the location of the damage, to obtain a report on the damage caused by the road and its causes.

The report is then sent from Road Security or the General Traffic Department to the branch of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in the area.

After that, the ministry branch studies the claim and verifies the causes.

When the claim is proven, it is transferred to the contractor, and he is asked to review the road security or the General Traffic Department to work on ending it.

Ministry of Transport is keen to work according to specific plans and programs, to achieve the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.

It is also working to reach sixth place globally in road quality while reducing road deaths by more than 50%.
