Saudi Foreign Minister: we support Palestine and do not have relations with Israel

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, told the privately-run Saudi channel of Al-Arabiya on Thursday, that the Kingdom stands with Palestine strongly and does not have relationship with Israel, stressing that Saudi Arabia’s policy on the Palestinian issue is consistent.

He added that it is not true that there are plans to hold a Saudi-Israeli meeting, noting that the relations of the Arab countries with Israel are conditional on a solution agreed upon by both parties.

Moreover, the Saudi minister affirmed the Kingdom’s welcome for any attempt to resolve the Palestinian issue.

Regarding the Iranian file, Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that Iran is an enemy of all. He added that Sudan is a sovereign country that establishes its own interest.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, after US President Donald Trump announced his peace plan.

King Salman also assured Abbas, “The Kingdom’s steadfast stance on the Palestinian issue, the rights of the Palestinian people since the era of King Abdulaziz until today, and the Kingdom’s standing alongside the Palestinian people and its support for its options and what fulfills its hopes and aspirations,”.

For his part, the Palestinian President expressed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his keenness and interest in the Palestinian cause, and for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its consistent and supportive stances towards Palestine and its people.
