Saudi Foreign Min. Meets Algerian Counterpart

Today, Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, met the Algerian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf. During the meeting, they discussed the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strong fraternal relations between the two countries. The two ministers also discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, and the efforts made to achieve a ceasefire and bring humanitarian aid into the Strip.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Al-Yahya attended the meeting.

Saudi – Algerian Relations

Saudi Arabia and Algeria, two prominent countries in the Arab world, have a long history of diplomatic relations and cooperation. Both countries share common interests in various fields, including politics, economics, and culture.

Over the years, the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Algeria has evolved and strengthened, paving the way for a promising future of collaboration.

Both countries are major players in the global energy market, with abundant reserves of oil and gas. In addition, Saudi Arabia, as the world’s largest oil exporter, and Algeria, a significant producer of natural gas, have a mutual interest in maintaining stability in the energy market.

As a result of this shared interest , the two countries have signed  various agreements and partnerships  in the energy sector.

Saudi Arabia and Algeria have also collaborated in the areas of trade and investment. Investors from KSA have shown interest in various sectors in Algeria, such as construction, agriculture, and telecommunications, while Algerian businesses have sought opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s diverse economy.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia and Algeria have worked together on regional and international issues, supporting each other’s positions on various political and security matters.
