The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on Wednesday participated in the third Ministerial Meeting of the GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue, hosted by Kuwait, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The meeting explored ways to strengthen relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Central Asian nations. It also discussed the joint action plan which aims to enhance cooperation between both sides across various fields, including politics, economy, culture, and tourism.
Furthermore, the third Ministerial Meeting of the GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue discussed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming summit between the GCC and Central Asian nations, scheduled to take place in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in May. The summit follows the first GCC-Central Asia Summit which Saudi Arabia hosted in Jeddah in 2023.
Moreover, the GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue meeting addressed the latest regional and international developments and efforts made in that regard.
Senior Saudi officials attended the meeting, including Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled; Ambassador Haitham Al-Malki; and Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office, Waleed Al-Ismail.
