The Saudi Film Confex 2025, held in Riyadh from October 22 to 25, brought together filmmakers, industry experts, and investors for four days of dynamic activities, attracting more than 2,000 attendees daily.
Organized by the Saudi Film Commission under the theme “A Gathering that Transforms the Scene,” the event underscored the Kingdom’s growing role as a regional hub for the film industry. It also provided a platform for national talent to engage with local and international companies, fostering partnerships and encouraging global investment in the Saudi film sector.

Throughout the conference, several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed with local and international partners to develop Saudi cinematic talent, promote co-productions, and streamline filming operations across the Kingdom. In addition, new training programs and initiatives in scriptwriting, directing, and production were introduced to nurture the next generation of filmmakers.

More than 40 panel discussions and workshops explored the future of the film industry, creative challenges, and infrastructure development. Participants included global production representatives, policymakers, seasoned professionals, and emerging Saudi filmmakers.
The accompanying exhibition featured over 130 exhibitors presenting the latest in filming and production technologies, creating new opportunities for collaboration among producers, investors, and creative professionals.
