The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in partnership with IBM and the Saudi Quantum Technology Association, has announced the Quantum Challenge—an educational and competitive program taking place from November 9 to 13, 2025.
Designed to expand national expertise in quantum computing, the initiative seeks to raise awareness among Saudi talent, equip participants with hands-on experience using Qiskit, and strengthen their ability to solve quantum optimization problems (QUBO/VQE/QAOA) and explore their applications in artificial intelligence.

Blending theoretical learning with practical exercises, the challenge offers a complete learning journey—from mastering the fundamentals of quantum computing to developing real-world, quantum-based solutions. The program aims to prepare a new generation of innovators capable of leveraging quantum technologies to drive the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
The ministry invites university students and graduates specializing in computer science and advanced technologies to register for the challenge by November 1 via the following link: https://futureskills.mcit.gov.sa/en/form/nmwdhj-tsjyl-f-alyt-thdy-alkmw.
