Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee to Hold Its Eighteenth Session

The eighteenth session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee will be held on March 3-4, 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency. It will be under the chairmanship of the Minister of Commerce Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi and the Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade Ahmed Samir in the capital, Riyadh.

The eighteenth session aims to work based on the strategic directions between the two countries, solve the challenges facing the joint committee’s work and adopt its activities. Moreover, it aims to hold periodic meetings with internal parties to follow up on the implementation of recommendations, and supervise the committee’s work.

Security Cooperation

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, the Honorary President of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, met Mahmoud Tawfiq, the Minister of Interior of Egypt. The meeting, held in Tunisia, reviewed the security cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the existing security cooperation pathways between the two countries’ interior ministries. Additionally, they reviewed the agenda for the 41st session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
