Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Meets with Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince

Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman sent a message to the UAE.

He stressed, through his account on the “Twitter” website that his country binds with the government and people of the Emirates “firm and historical relations, based on brotherhood and the unity of a common destiny.”

He added, “Our relationship is one of the siblings with all the meaning of this word. Their security is our security, their honor is our pride, and their enemy is our enemy.”

This comes after Prince Khalid bin Salman met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the UAE, based on the directives of the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

Bin Salman added that, during his meeting with him, he conveyed to Mohammed bin Zayed the greetings of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and they also reviewed bilateral relations and defense cooperation between their countries.

During their meeting, the two sides also discussed their strategic cooperation in all fields, especially the continuation of coordination, consultation, and joint work in defense affairs, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The Ansar Allah group (Houthis) controls Sanaa and most of the governorates of northern Yemen and is fighting a war in a number of the country’s governorates against government forces backed by an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and in which the UAE is actively participating.
