Saudi Arabia’s Relief Campaign for Gaza Surpasses 400 Million Riyals
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relief campaign for Gaza has made a significant impact, crossing the 400 million Riyal mark in just six days.
A Nation’s Generosity
The campaign’s donations reached approximately 391.25 million Riyals as of Tuesday, with over 568,398 individual donors contributing.
Royal Directive and Humanitarian Action
This initiative follows the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center spearheads the campaign through the “Sahem” platform.
King and Crown Prince’s Contributions
King Salman donated 30 million Riyals, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman contributed 20 million Riyals, setting a precedent of generosity.
How to Donate to the People of Gaza
Donations for Gaza are accepted through four primary platforms, including the Sahem platform and a designated bank account.
Donating through Sahem
To donate through the Sahem app, individuals can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play.
More than half a million people brought donations. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz was the first one to donate 30 million riyals.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman donated SAR 20 mln.
The Advisor to the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeha last Thursday launched the campaign.
Donations will be collected through the “Sahim” platform, affiliated with the King Salman Relief Centre, or the unified bank account that has been allocated to the campaign, confirmed Al-Rabiah.
Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Praises Gaza Campaign
Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti and the head of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Issuing Fatwas Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Sheikh praised the relief campaign for Gaza. The campaign was launched by directives from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Moreover, his Eminence considered the campaign one of the greatest things that reflects the leadership’s commitment to help the afflicted. It aims to alleviate suffering and help the needy.
His Eminence explained that this generous gesture from the leadership stems from the keenness of the King and the Crown Prince to stand with our brothers in Palestine. It is as an extension of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role throughout history by standing with the afflicted and the needy around the world in various crises and tribulations.
