Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Praises Relief Campaign for Gaza

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti and  the head of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Issuing Fatwas Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Sheikh praised the relief campaign for Gaza which was launched by directives from  the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

His Eminence considered the campaign one of the greatest things that reflects the leadership’s commitment to help the afflicted. It aims to alleviate suffering and help the needy.

His Eminence explained that this generous gesture from the leadership to provide aid to the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip stems from the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince to stand with our brothers in Palestine. It is as an extension of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role throughout history by standing with the afflicted and the needy around the world in various crises and tribulations.

He urged all citizens and residents to participate in the popular campaign called for by the wise leadership and to seek reward from God, for God helps the servant as long as the servant helps his brother, cautioning against fake donation campaigns. He finalized his statement by prayers for the Palestinians and for the donors.

The campaign was inaugurated with generous contributions from King Salman and the Crown Prince, who donated 30 million Riyals and 20 million Riyals respectively, totaling 50 million Riyals.

The fundraising drive is being orchestrated through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), particularly via its Sahem platform.

Donors can extend their support through the Sahem platform online, or via its mobile application, available on both Apple and Google Play stores. Additionally, contributions can also be made directly to the campaign’s dedicated bank account at Al Rajhi Bank.
