Saudi Arabia Takes Part as Guest of Honor in 62nd Damascus International Fair

Saudi Arabia is participating as the guest of honor in the 62nd Damascus International Fair, held in the Syrian capital from August 27 to September 5. The Saudi delegation includes several government bodies—such as the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Investment, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Saudi-Syrian Business Council, and the Saudi Export-Import Bank—along with more than 80 companies representing diverse sectors.

The Kingdom’s participation seeks to strengthen trade and investment ties while showcasing the competitiveness of Saudi products and services across regional markets.

Recognized as one of the Middle East’s leading economic gatherings, the Damascus International Fair brings together companies and organizations from across the globe to explore investment opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, and discuss avenues for cooperation. The event also highlights modern innovations and emerging trends that drive economic growth and sustainability.

According to Saudi entities present at the fair, this year’s edition will see the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding in key areas, including energy, renewable energy, trade, and investment—paving the way for deeper economic integration between Saudi Arabia and Syria.

This participation reflects the Kingdom’s broader strategy of expanding its presence in major regional and international exhibitions and strengthening global trade partnerships.
