A round of political consultations and talks has gathered Saudi and Ethiopian diplomats in the ministry of foreign affairs’ official diwan in Riyadh.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meetings centered around strengthening cooperation between both countries.
Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji chaired the meeting. The Ethiopian delegation was led by Mesganu Arga Moach, the state minister of foreign affairs at the foreign ministry in Addis Ababa.
During the meetings, both countries delved into the latest developments in regional and international affairs.
In addition, they explored ways to strengthen cooperation, and the friendly ties between Riyadh and Addis Ababa.
It is worth mentioning that both of them established the Saudi-Ethiopian Business Council in August to bolster economic relations and foster trade and investment opportunities from 2024 to 2028.
The meetings also highlighted the participation of Fahad Alhumaydani, the Saudi ambassador to Ethiopia; the director of the general department of expatriate affairs at the foreign ministry, Mohammed Al-Shammari; and the Ethiopian ambassador.
