Saudi Arabia Showcases Housing Initiatives at Global Urban Forum in Baku

Saudi Arabia will take part tomorrow in the 13th World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan under the leadership of Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Organized by UN-Habitat in Baku, the forum will run from May 17 to 22 under the theme “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities.”

The Saudi delegation will host a large-scale national pavilion spanning over 1,000 square meters, bringing together more than 20 Saudi entities.

Interestingly, the pavilion will showcase the Kingdom’s flagship projects, initiatives, and programs across housing, urban development, quality of life, as well as real estate investment sectors.

Moreover, it will spotlight the Kingdom’s digital transformation initiatives through multiple platforms such as Sakani, along with the use of artificial intelligence in data analytics services.

The pavilion will host a series of specialized sessions, bilateral meetings, and workshops tackling urban innovation and sustainable development.

Therefore, the forum will provide the Saudi delegation with an exclusive opportunity to engage in high-level ministerial and strategic dialogue sessions focused on urban housing, the future of cities, innovative financing, and the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.

By participating in the World Urban Forum, the Kingdom seeks to highlight its milestones in increasing homeownership rates, developing real estate financing solutions, and adopting innovative approaches to urban planning in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
