Saudi Arabia, Russia launch talks on bilateral relations and developments in Syria

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense discussed with the Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syrian Settlement Affairs, Alexander Lavrentiev, aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, and developments in Syria.

This came during Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Lavrentif’s reception in Riyadh on Thursday, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.

The Russian envoy conveyed President Vladimir Putin’s greetings to Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while the Saudi Crown Prince conveyed his greetings to Putin.

The reception was also attended by Minister of State, Cabinet Member, National Security Adviser, Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban, and Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan.

It was also attended from the Russian side by the envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department, Ambassador Alexander Kinshak.
