Saudi Arabia renews support for Yemen political solution
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has renewed its keenness to reach a political solution in Yemen and to seek security and development in this country.
This was stated after a session held by the Council of Ministers at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh and chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, where the Council affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.
Following the three references, the Gulf initiative, and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue, UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the pursuit of security and development in this Arab country, and the continuation of providing humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people and the reconstruction of their country.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Information, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, said that the council appreciated what the friendly countries and regional and international organizations and bodies have expressed in condemnation and denunciation of the hostile attempt that targeted civilians traveling and working at the Abha International airport by the Houthi terrorist militia.
