Saudi Arabia, South Korea Discuss Cooperation in Space Satellite Technology

The Saudi Space Agency is actively seeking to enhance its partnership with South Korea in the development of space satellite technology. In line with this goal, Abdullah Amer Al-Swaha, the chairman of the agency, recently met with Kang Joo-Yung, the CEO of the South Korean aerospace company KAI, in Seoul. The meeting focused on discussing partnerships in advanced technologies, satellite development, system integration, and space services. Through this collaboration, Saudi Arabia aims to strengthen the capabilities of its space sector and promote innovation and growth in the field.

Strengthening Collaboration in Space Satellite Development

The Saudi Space Agency recognizes the importance of international cooperation in advancing space exploration and technology. By partnering with South Korea, a leader in aerospace technology, Saudi Arabia aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both countries to accelerate the development of space satellite technology. Apart from satellite work, Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology plans to meet with South Korean company NAVER. The goal is to forge partnerships in advanced tech solutions and business models for Saudi startups. Saudi Arabia seeks to create a startup-friendly environment by harnessing NAVER’s tech expertise.

Collaboration in Digital Government and Big Data Utilization

Abdullah Amer Al-Swaha, Saudi Space Agency chairman, discussed strategic partnerships with South Korea’s Interior and Safety Minister, Lee Sang-min. Their focus: digital government, big data, digital twins, and advanced technologies. Saudi Arabia seeks to boost its digital infrastructure and drive economic growth through collaboration.
