Saudi Arabia Participates in G20 Ministers of Labor and Employment in Brazil

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, has led the Saudi delegation participating in the meeting of the G20 Ministers of Labor and Employment, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The meeting took place from 25-26 July in Fortaleza in the Republic of Brazil. It included the participation of a number of labor and employment ministers of the G20 member states.

Al-Rajhi offered his sincere thanks to the Brazilian presidency for its outstanding efforts during the year, underscoring the significance of the priorities of the Labor and Employment Group that aim to develop labor markets.

Furthermore, he reviewed the Kingdom’s proactive steps and the great impacts of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as follows:

  • Preparing an excellent national workforce
  • Developing basic and future skills
  • Promoting knowledge
  • Strengthening the labor market
  • Ensuring decent work for all citizens

Al-Rajhi emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to improving work standards and conditions, including social security through training and job opportunities.

Moreover, he shed light on the Kingdom’s efforts to promote gender equality in order to achieve sustainable economic growth and social development.

The minister also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s initiatives to boost women’s participation in the labor market and empower women to assume more diverse roles in all economic sectors.
