Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture has unveiled the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards, underscoring its annual commitment to celebrating remarkable achievements across different cultural disciplines, according to the Saudi Gazette.
Nominations are open to both members of the cultural community and the general public, offering individuals the opportunity to put forward themselves or others for recognition across the Kingdom’s diverse cultural sectors.
The ministry will receive submissions until April 1 through the official awards website.
The National Cultural Awards are organized into two primary categories, as follows:
Main Awards
It includes the following prestigious honors:
- Cultural Personality of the Year Award
- Youth Culture Award
- Business Leaders Award
- Cultural Institutions Award (For-Profit)
- Cultural Institutions Award (Non-Profit)
- Cultural Media Award
- International Cultural Excellence Award
Sectoral Awards
This features 12 honors, as follows:
- Literature Award
- Publishing Award
- Theater and Performing Arts Award
- Culinary Arts Award
- Architecture and Design Award
- Translation Award
- Fashion Award
- Film Award
- National Heritage Award
- Music Award
- Visual Arts Award
- Handcraft Award
As part of the ministry’s ongoing initiative to celebrate pioneers in the cultural sector, these awards seek to highlight the accomplishments of individuals and institutions and recognize their significant contributions to the growth of the Kingdom’s cultural scene.
The initiative also aims to offer inspire national cultural talent while showcasing Saudi Arabia’s creative contributions on both local and international stages.
