The Saudi Fashion Commission has unveiled plans for establishing the “Fashion District,” a dedicated fashion destination in the heart of Riyadh.
On the sidelines of the fifth Real Estate Future Forum, the Fashion Commission signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Four Directions Real Estate Development Company to launch the Fashion District, in a major boost to Saudi Arabia’s creative economy and booming fashion industry.
As an integrated urban destination for the fashion sector, the project aims to empower creative industries and bolster Riyadh’s standing as a regional and global hub for the cultural economy.

The Fashion District is a strategic project aimed at revolutionizing the fashion landscape by integrating the full value chain, from design, production, and training to showcasing and retail.
Moreover, the Fashion District will house world-class runways, creative studios, and incubators for emerging brands, alongside modern hospitality and co-working spaces. Thus, it enhances investment appeal and keeps pace with the sector’s growth both locally and internationally.
While the exact location of the venue has not been revealed yet, the Fashion Commission suggested it could be near King Saud University, with completion expected around 2028, though dates are subject to change.
On this occasion, the Fashion Commission CEO, Burak Cakmak, hailed the project. “Fashion District is not simply an urban development project. It is an integrated ecosystem that supports the fashion value chain, opens new opportunities for creativity and investment, and reinforces Riyadh’s position as a global hub for the creative economy,” he said.
