Saudi Defense Minister Holds High-Level Talks with Top US Officials in Washington

Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, held high-level talks in Washington with senior US officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Senator Lindsey Graham, during his official visit to the US, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The visit basically sought to strengthen US-Saudi relations and explore new avenues for deeper cooperation, while also addressing a vast array of issues of mutual concern.

In a post on his official X account, Prince Khalid bin Salman said he met with US officials—including Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff—to “review strategic relations between our countries and explore prospects for enhancing our cooperation.”

He also noted that the talks revolved around joint efforts to reinforce regional and global peace and stability.

Moreover, Prince Khalid posted a photograph with Senator Lindsey Graham, mentioning that their meeting focused on “reviewing the longstanding friendship and cooperation between our countries” and exchanging views on regional and international developments, along with other issues of mutual concern.

Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar and Defense Ministry Advisor for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif also attended the meeting with the US Senator.
