Saudi Arabia launches the “Darb Al-Ula” marathon

 

Darb Al-Ula” marathon will start on February 23 and contestants will be able to see the fantastic landscapes, and archaeological and tourist attractions.

The Maraya Hall is the largest building covered in mirrors in the world.

 

The contestants will also be able to see the famous Elephant Mountain,which is formed by natural sculptural factors

 

they will be able to see Al-Hijr archaeological site, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

 

Al-Ula Trail Race

 

The Al-Ula Trail Race is part of the various sports activities witnessed in the Al-Ula Moments events calendar.

The weekend will also feature a welcome party and post-race events at the Al Ula Old Town Theatre.

 

The Sharaan track, which extends for a distance of 100 km, gives runners the opportunity to run for the first time in the Sharaan Nature Reserve and enjoy its picturesque nature.

 

Wadi Ashar trail

 

While the Wadi Ashar trail extends for 50 kilometers amidst the distinctive landscapes of the region. Both races welcome participants from the age of 18 and over.

 

The Elephant Mountain track extends for a distance of 20 km, and starts from the mountain, passing through farms, desert roads, and mountain paths, and welcomes competitors aged 16 years and over.

 

The Al-Ula Oasis track, which extends over a distance of 10 km, welcomes runners aged 12 years and over. The starting and ending points are located in the heart of the old town of Al-Ula.

 

The Sunset Race, a 2km pre-race event, will take place on Thursday, February 23, in a serene setting as the sun sets behind the stunning vistas of Al-Ula.

 

Darb Al-Ula hosts children between the ages of 5 and 11; Where they enjoy a race dedicated to the awareness of the Arabian tiger for a distance of 1.4 kilometers in the old town of Al-Ula.
