Saudi Arabia launches the Book Fair 2022 award with a total of SAR 300,000

The Saudi Authority of Literature, Publishing, and Translation launched the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 award with a total value of SAR 300,000.

 

It targets local, Arab, and international publishing houses participating in the exhibition, which started on Thursday, September 29th.

 

The exhibition will continue until Saturday, October 8, at the front of Riyadh under the slogan “Culture Classes”.

 

The total prizes amount to SAR 300,000, distributed over more than one category including the Excellence Award in Publishing with a value of SAR 50,000, the Excellence in Publishing for Children, worth SAR 50,000, and the Excellence in Publishing Award with the translation of SAR 50,000.

 

It also includes the Excellence Award in Digital Publishing for Digital Platforms of SAR 50,000, the Excellence Award in publishing for Saudi content of SAR 50,000, and the Readers’ Choice award of SAR 50,000.

 

The winners will be announced at an honoring ceremony to coincide with the closing of the exhibition on October 8.

 

The authority provided readers with the opportunity to participate in selecting the winner through voting that begins on October 4 through the Riyadh International Book Fair application.

 

The award aims to stimulate innovation in the publishing sector and keep pace with new technologies to reach all target segments of the role’s publications in innovative and sustainable ways.

 

Through the award, the authority seeks to make the exhibition a milestone on the map of book fairs in the region and a permanently stimulating destination for all publishing houses.

 

It is worth noting that the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 was launched under the slogan “Culture Classes”, which will present over 10 days a comprehensive cultural program covering all aspects of creativity.

 

The Republic of Tunisia will also attend as a guest of honor, with the participation of 1,200 publishing houses and acting houses representing 32 countries.
