Saudi Arabia launches Makkah Road initiative to serve pilgrims

The Saudi Ministry of Interior created the Makkah Road initiative, as part of the Serving Guests of Rahman Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 plans.

Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Bangladesh are among the five countries that participate in this programme.

The “Makkah Road” programme, according to the Ministry of Interior, intends to receive pilgrims and quickly complete their paperwork from their home countries.

Upon arrival, they board buses bound for Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, where they will be met by service authorities who will bring their bags to their homes.
