Saudi Arabia issues 72 new industrial licenses in April

In April 2022, the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 72 new industrial licenses, totaling 5.234 billion riyals in investment.

59 factories began production in the same month, with an investment of 838 million riyals.

During the same period, the industry added 3,968 jobs.

The number of existing and under-construction industries in the Kingdom reached 10,561 in April, according to a study by the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

The number of existing and under-construction industries in the Kingdom reached 10,561 in April, according to a study by the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

According to the study, small industrial establishments accounted for 83 percent of all new licenses awarded last month, followed by medium firms (15%) and micro enterprises (1.39 percent).

National firms, with 79 percent of total new licenses, were followed by foreign investments with 13.89 percent and joint capital investments with 6.94 percent.

Food goods industries started production the most in April, with 11 factories out of 59.
