Under the slogan “Hemma hatta Al Qima” attitude towards attitude, KSA is preparing on 23 September, to celebrate the 90th Saudi National Day.
This date goes back to the Royal Decree No. 2716 issued by King Abdulaziz on that day in the year 1932, to transfer name of the state from Kingdom of Hejaz and Najd to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On January 15, 1902, King Abdulaziz Al Saud, founder of the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its first kings, managed to regain Riyadh, the capital of his ancestors, continuing his endeavor to unify the Kingdom.
He succeeded in unifying many regions over a period of thirty years, the most important of which are: southern Najd, Sudair, Al-Washm, Al-Qassim, Al-Ahsa, Asir and Hail, followed by the annexation of the Hijaz region, before the unification of the Jazan region was finally completed in 1930.
This year, the celebration will witness various activities that will be held in all its regions, including fireworks, various celebrations, festivals, international shows and gatherings.
On the other hand, Saudi embassies in all capitals of the world celebrate the ND in their own way, in the presence of embassy leaders and members of the Saudi community abroad.
The General Entertainment Authority stated on its website, that “Under the direction of the chairman of the board of directors of authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, under the slogan (attitude towards attitude), the Authority is preparing to launch a number of activities in which it participates on the occasion of the 90th Saudi National Day, in several regions of the Kingdom “.
It added that the national celebrations include a variety of air shows, in which about 60 military and civilian aircraft participate, in the largest air show of the National Day ever.
It declared that, “The audience will have an appointment with watching the show that will be held on the 23rd of September on the screen of the Saudi channel at 4 pm.
The activities will also include displays of various fireworks in several different locations, which will be launched to paint a creative painting celebrating the anniversary of the National Day.”
The authority also launched a celebratory initiative whereby the audience participates through the hashtag (# we wish for the homeland) with a personal video while they perform the national anthem, in order to be selected and produce a comprehensive artistic work that reflects the spirit of national participation.
According to Saudi media, the inspiration for the National Day slogan (attitude towards attitude), came from the saying of the Crown Prince, Minister of Defense Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, “The Saudis are like Tuwaiq Mountain.”
Al Sheikh called on all parties to use and unify the slogan of 90th National Day, by including it in the various applications used to celebrate this occasion.
