Volunteer medical staff will deploy to Syria after field assessments of healthcare facilities. A Saudi delegation, alongside Syrian health officials, is evaluating hospitals to identify urgent needs for staff, equipment, and supplies.
A Saudi land convoy recently crossed the Jordan-Syria border, delivering heavy medical equipment like MRI machines, X-ray devices, and CT scanners. The convoy also transported essential medications, including antibiotics and surgical supplies, to support hospitals nationwide110. KSrelief teams, accompanied by Syrian health officials, assessed over ten hospitals, including the University Children’s Hospital in Damascus. These visits aim to identify gaps in healthcare infrastructure and ensure equitable access to medical services116.
