Saudi Arabia inaugurates self-registration App of the vital characteristics of Hajj, Umrah
Under the lofty directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Prince Muhammad bin Salman, to facilitate Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan inaugurated Tuesday, the application of self-registration of the vital characteristics of pilgrims and Umrah performers. Via smartphones, as it was implemented through the Saudi Company for Visa and Travel Solutions.
Applicants for Hajj and Umrah visas in the countries where the application will be run will be able to register the characteristics of their whereabouts via smartphones, and they will not have to review visa issuance centers, under which their visas will be issued electronically.
When pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims come to the Kingdom, they will only match without the need to re-register their vital features, and this will facilitate the process of their entry through the ports through which they will submit.
It is worth noting that the Kingdom is the first country to use the registration of vital features for visa applicants through smartphones.
The inauguration was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Eng. Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji, Assistant Foreign Minister for Executive Affairs Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Mansoori, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs Ambassador Tamim Al-Dosari.
