Saudi Arabia hosts the 1st edition of the Women’s World Taekwondo Championships
Saudi Arabia will host the first edition of the Women’s World Taekwondo Championship, according to the Saudi Taekwondo Federation.
The event will take place in the stadiums of Riyadh’s sports halls from November 25 to 27, with more than 171 players, coaches, and technical administrators from 36 countries taking part.
It is held for the first time in Saudi Arabia
Shaddad Al-Omari, President of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, emphasized the significance of this hosting, as it is being held for the first time and hosted by Saudi Arabia, marking a historic decision by the International Federation of the sport B.
Al-Omari emphasized the Saudi Taekwondo Federation’s preparation to host the event, as well as the Saudi female athletes’ willingness to compete in this edition, which will include the largest Saudi participation at the world championships.
The International Taekwondo Federation’s decision to choose Saudi Arabia as the host country for the first edition of the sport’s biggest event is a continuation of international and continental federations’ strong support for Saudi sport in recent years, confirming the Kingdom’s worldwide leadership.
