Saudi Arabia Discusses Gaza Unrest with Regional Allies

Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, engaged in vital telephone discussions today concerning the grave developments in Gaza, with a special focus on escalating military operations and the continuing plight of innocent civilians.

Engaging Regional Counterparts

The Minister held detailed discussions with His Excellency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi. They delved into the dangerous unfolding situations in and around Gaza, emphasizing the importance of international community’s role in preventing forced displacement of Gaza residents and halting military escalations.

Moreover, enhancing communication with globally urge active parties to push towards an immediate halt of military escalations, enabling the delivery of relief aids and medical supplies, and working towards a fair, comprehensive, and just solution meeting the aspirations of the Palestinian people were discussed.

Extending Dialogue

In a separate conversation, bin Farhan bin Abdullah also reached out to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. They explored the recent developments in Gaza and its vicinity. They discussed ways to intensify joint efforts to stop military escalations and forced displacement operations affecting Gaza residents.

During the call, they stressed the necessity for the international community to take up its role in lifting the siege on Gaza, ensuring Israel’s compliance with international humanitarian law including allowing the supply of food and relief materials to Gaza, and working towards a just and comprehensive political solution that fulfills the aspirations of the Palestinian people, ensuring security and stability in the region and the world.

Engaging with Morocco

Furthermore, he held a telephone conversation with the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita. They discussed the serious developments in the Gaza sector and its surrounding areas. The two sides stressed the international community’s role in preventing the forced displacement of Gaza residents. The FMs called for halting the military escalation that has increased the suffering of the unarmed civilians in the Strip.

They stressed communication with the international community to find a quick and immediate solution to halt the escalation. They also discussed delivering relief aids and medical supplies. The two sides emphasized the need to devise a practical plan to find a fair, comprehensive, and just solution that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

These dialogues signify Saudi Arabia’s active diplomatic engagement to address the deteriorating situation in Gaza. They reflect its regional leadership and commitment towards finding peaceful resolutions to conflicts in the Middle East.
